Sunday School/Small Groups is the how we  lead the church in being obedient to The Great Commission:

"And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying. "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. "Amen" (Matthew 28:18-20)

Our church is to be a New Testament church by involving our people in threefold mission of the Great Commission:

     1.  Evangelize the unsaved

     2.  Assimilate people into the church

     3.  Disciple the members

• Sunday School is not just a program.  It is a ministry.
• Sunday School is not just a weekly event.  It is a strategy.
• Three tasks of Sunday School:

          1.  Reach people for Christ and church membership

          2.  Teach people God's Word

          3.  Minister to people's needs

• Two critical elements of the Sunday School Structure:

          1.  Developing new leaders/teachers

          2.  Birthing new classes (new classes=new people=new growth)
