  • Recognize that your sins have caused you to be separated from God.  Romans 3:23
  • Understand that this separation results in a spiritual death, but that Jesus provided a means of reconciliation with God by dying on the cross for our sins.  Jesus was raised from the dead and offers what He did for us a a gift.  This gift provides strength for life here on earth and eternal life in heaven. Romans 6:23
  • Accept the gift!  When a gift is given, it must be received for the transaction to be complete.  Simply acknowledge your sins in a prayer to God and tell Him you accept the gift of Jesus. Romans 10: 9 & 1

 You can say a simple prayer like this-

Dear God,

I realize that I am a sinner and need the gift of Jesus' sacrifice and live in my life.  Please forgive me and include me in your family.  I put my life and soul in your hands. Thank you. 

Amen.
